3×5.26

I wanted to work on trying something a little more cartoony, so tonight you get a sort-of-self-portrait:

1-26

(Estimated time: 25 minutes.)

Yes, the “background” is especially lame — I haven’t yet managed to find the right balance between “simplified” and “suckrageous.”

  1. Timmy B says:

Did you really draw yourself wearing a suit jacket with rolled sleeves and a t-shirt underneath?

    Where’s Philip Michael Thomas, Don?

  2. Allen says:

    It’s not a suit jacket, it’s a button-down shirt which isn’t buttoned down.

I guess that’s somewhere I should work on clarifying that line between “simplistic” and “suckrageous,” huh? ;)

  3. Timmy B says:

Ah, I see the collar now. I don’t see the buttons, though.

If you don’t mind, I’m going to hold fast to my belief that you’re wearing a jacket. It’s just a cooler look for you. I don’t imagine this person speaking like Don Johnson, though. If this were Holt: The Animated Series, this character would be voiced by Matthew Perry.

  4. Allen says:

Yeah, I left the buttons out. What does it say about YOU, though, that your brain went straight to Miami Vice? Dude, you’re OLD. ;)

And I’d totally dig having my voice done by Matthew Perry. In fact, if my life ever becomes an animated series, I might have to insist on it.
